EFFERON®

Efferon® LPS

Modern hemoadsorption for critically ill patients.

Efferon® LPS is a single-use adsorber for extracorporeal blood purification, designed for the selective adsorption of lipopolysaccharides and the non-selective adsorption of cytokines, myoglobin, and other inflammatory mediators. This solution supports rapid intervention in Gram-negative sepsis, critical endotoxemia, and cytokine storm syndrome.

Efferon® LPS
READY TO USE

Sterile, non-pyrogenic, low flow-resistance device; compatible with hemoperfusion, RRT, ECMO and CPB systems.

INDICATIONS & USE

Designed for fast clinical response

The device is intended for hemoperfusion in an extracorporeal system, either in direct mode on its own or in combination with other extracorporeal therapy platforms. Timely implementation supports the stabilization of vital functions and limits the progression of multi-organ failure.

  • Sepsis and septic shock of Gram-negative etiology.
  • Elevated blood endotoxin levels (critical endotoxemia).
  • Elevated cytokine levels and "cytokine storm" syndromes.
  • Hemoperfusion combined with RRT, ECMO and CPB.

Efferon® LPS supports the treatment of severe sepsis patients by removing endotoxins and inflammatory mediators from circulation, reducing the risk of organ failure progression.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

One device, multiple therapeutic targets

Efferon® LPS technology combines selective endotoxin binding with the adsorption of cytokines and other inflammatory mediators. This allows the device to support a more comprehensive therapeutic response than classic, single-dimensional solutions.

Efferon® LPS — mechanism of action

Endotoxin Adsorption

The adsorbent surface is modified with a ligand selective for LPS, enabling permanent and irreversible binding of bacterial endotoxins.

Inflammatory Mediator Control

The mesoporous polymer structure adsorbs excess cytokines, myoglobin and other molecules associated with the inflammatory response and tissue damage.

Stable, Hemocompatible Polymer

The material does not crumble, generate dust, or release organic contaminants, maintaining high biocompatibility and low thrombogenic activity.

ARCHITECTURE

Architecture designed for effective hemoperfusion

The column construction, adsorbent properties and selective ligand work together to ensure stable blood flow and effective removal of key inflammatory mediators.
